I don't need a spectacularly put together video to remind me of how great the city I live in is, but it doesn't hurt to watch one either:

D Structure's got the word on some free screening passes to Jackass 3D on September 29th. Word is Johnny Knoxville will be in attendance at the screening and a TBA after party.
Sure, sure, I know what you're thinking, "how is Jackass even relevant anymore?" Well, I implore you to go back and watch some of your favorite clips from the early aughts and not laugh. Not to mention it's FREEEEEEE! It's probably good advice to act fast and show up early though, as space will be limited. And did I mention it's FREE?

Fascinating San Francisco Infographic

Eric Fischer has posted another compelling infographic map of the Bay Area that shows exactly how neighborhoods are integrated/segregated by race/ethnicity.  Turns out the Bay ain't that bad in comparison to some other metropolises:

Fecal Face 10 Year @ The Luggage Store Gallery

I checked out the Fecal Face 10 Anniversary opening at the Luggage Store Gallery this past Friday.  Needless to say I think just about every single local e-publication promoted this opening and as a result the turn-out was a ludicrous mass of ironic mustaches (are moustaches still even able to be considered ironic now?) and fixed gear bicycles.  Not to mention it was wall-to-wall people, which is a shame because it made it very difficult to move through and actually check out the incredible art that was being showcased.  I'm definitely going to have to go back and get a better look without the crowd.  I also went to the after party at the Mezzanine for a little bit, but the old gf wasn't feeling it all and she had to work in the morning so we split relatively early on in the night.  Word is the after-party might get a redux.

Stanley Donwood "Over Normal" Exhibition at Fifty24SF sneak peek

Last night Fifty24SF Gallery had a sneak peek of sorts of the Stanley Donwood exhibition "Over Normal." The official opening is scheduled for tonight from 7:30-10PM.
You're most likely to recognize Donwood's work as it appears throughout several Radiohead albums. Below are a few shots of what to expect from the show. There are several large pieces that are reminiscent of the "Hail to the Theif" cover art, several color raster graphs that were used for the OVERNORMALIZER (audio installation), and even a few spontaneous rubbings of various utility coverings from around San Francisco.
